Can you get outside and enjoy a natural environment as often as you want? Is your time spent inside and outside of buildings in balance? Do you long for more time to enjoy being in the sunshine?
These tips will assist you to gain more energy for yourself whether you are in natural surroundings or under artificial light inside home, workplace, hospital, or shops.
1. One Minute Connection.
Imagine or think of your favourite place outdoors. Imagine or think you are there when it is your favourite season. Physically stand, or in your mind, see yourself there right now.
Use your intention and tell your body to open all the pores of your skin to receive fresh new energy to refuel you. Relax with soft, gentle, deep breathing. Stay as long as you can. Recall the experience, however briefly, at every opportunity.
2. Mighty Mountain Energy.
Maybe you haven’t ever been high up on a mountain. This is your opportunity to go there with your mind for a mind-body experience.
Think of a mountain or mountains you have visited or seen in a magazine, photo, or on television. Maybe it is one you have said to yourself at sometime “I want to visit this place one day”.
Relax and slow your breathing so it is soft and even. In your mind’s eye see yourself on the mountain surrounded by healthy leafy emerald green trees that seem to reach the sky. Inhale the energy from the branches and leaves on the trees to deep inside your body. See the energy spreading out to every cell in your body as it receives this life-giving essence. Exhale and join with the energy of the trees as your energy moves down into the earth and up through the tree roots, the trunk, then to the branches and leaves. Do for 10 breaths. Thank the trees for their abundance.
This is a great practice to do when you want to have a restful sleep.
3. Pot Plant Heaven.
Buy yourself a potted plant of Zanzibar Gem (Zamioculcas Zamiifolia). It is advertised as “thrives on neglect”. This plant is very generous. It only needs water in winter once every two months. In summer it only needs water with some fertilizer monthly.
Stand the pot in your home or where you spend much of your time. Glance at it every time you feel stressed. Breathe in its vibrant glossy green leaf energy and breathe out any strain or pressure. Repeat as often as you like.
