Eye Strain & Headache Relief Exercises for Longer Work and Play

Are eye strain and headaches a constant distraction for you?

Do you find you rub your eyes more often the longer you work or play on your computer?

Today we have two short easy practices you can do that will:

  • Bring more oxygenised blood into the small veins that keep your eyes fresh and clear.
  • Build resistance to eye disease.
  • Save the cost of reading glasses now and in the future

Plus, each time you do the practices you will work to prevent eye strain and pain.

These practices to keep or regain strong healthy eyesight are so easy you may wonder if they will work. I assure you they do. The proof is in the health of my own eyes. I was told cy an eye specialist that by the time I was 48 y.o. I would only be able to read large newspaper headlines without glasses. I was in my 30’s at the time. I am well past those years an can still newspapers without glasses. I attribute this outcome with the eyes to my using over these small practices over time.

Practice One – Animal Eyes

This first practice is known as Animal Eyes. Focus on the traits given for each animal as you do each one. E.g. Bear- think of a Panda bear big, solid, watching over young cubs.

  • Crane – roll your eyes one way, then the other. Repeat three times.
  • Monkey – turn your head and blink your eyes quickly. Turn to the front then pause and turn the other way and blink eyes quickly.
  • Tiger – stare ahead with hard or strong gaze.
  • Bear – soften your eyes and look around you.
  • Deer – keep your head still and move your eyes from side to side.

The animals are those used in the practice of the Five Element Phases in Qigong.

Practice Two – Eyes Energy Bath

The second practice to keep or regain strong healthy eyesight is so easy you may wonder if it will work. I assure you it does. The proof is in the health of my own eyes.

  • Rub palms together briskly until very warm or hot.
  • Place them over your eyes – eyes can be open or closed.

Repeat three times or as many as you would like.

  • While you wait for your computer to warm up.
  • When you finish your session on the computer and
  • Any time in between when you sense your eyes are tiring.

You may be surprised how easy it is to make these two eye exercises a habit. Use Animal Eyes and the Energy Bath to gain now and avoid pain later.
