Does your hair go extra dry in summer or lank and damp in the humidity?
The health of your hair, nails, and skin depends on the health of your liver. Your liver is the factory for your body and it performs more than five hundred functions to keep your body healthy and free of disease. Your part is to give it constant care and maintenance to keep it healthy. I often think we give our car more care and maintenance than we give to our liver. This large organ is the critical pivot of your whole digestive system from what you put in your mouth down to the exit from the bowel. It processes our hormones, holds our emotional anger and much more.
These three easy tips will assist your hair and keep the energy moving to help the liver, which in turn helps your nails and skin.
- Running 0ver the Mountain. Place your finger and thumb tips at the hailing at the top of your forehead. Inhale as you quickly ‘run’ your finger tips up and over the head. When you come to the base of your scalp bring your fingers down as you exhale blowing our through your mouth. Do this 10 times morning and evening. This is a great practice to do if you think you are getting a cold.
- Semi-cupped Palms. For a quick and effective massage of your scalp, cup your hands slightly and pat firmly all over your head for 1-2 minutes. This will strengthen the flow of energy and fluids in your head for your hair, and also is a preventative against having a stroke.
- Assisting Hair Colour. Use organic hair colouring rather than chemical. Skin is a major organ in assisting us to breathe and remove toxins from our body in the form of sweat. Think of the times you put something on it for cleansing, prevention of sunburn, ointment, lotion, cream, and soap a percentage of the product is absorbed into your body. Check your products carefully. Damage may not be immediate. It creeps up in hair, nails, skin, and liver. Given time this not only brings frustration with your hair, it may add up to the development of life threatening diseases.
